Roadside Handyman is a South African non-profit initiative born out of a deep commitment to restore dignity, purpose, and opportunity to the thousands of skilled tradesmen and women who wait daily at the roadside—tools in hand, hope in heart, but often without a voice.

We understand the challenges faced by these hard-working individuals. Many have years of experience in trades such as bricklaying, carpentry, tiling, plumbing, welding, and general construction, yet they remain invisible to the digital economy. Our platform bridges that gap—bringing these capable workers online where they can be seen, valued, and booked directly by the public.

We don’t just offer listings—we offer a lifeline. Each profile is a person. A provider. A father or mother. A neighbour. A future employer. Our mission is to empower them with digital visibility, skills development, and access to support services such as smartphone sponsorships, protective gear, work permits (where needed), and basic online literacy training.

At the same time, we equip public users with a secure, easy-to-use platform where they can browse verified worker profiles, make informed hiring decisions, and engage in fair and safe work relationships.
